Hey guys-

Recently I acquired a 1996 seadoo spi that is in excellent condition. Its the first PWC i've owned and took it out yesterday in the beautiful weather. It ran great all day....no problems at all. However, I ran out of fuel and after I refueled at the pier I accidentally sucked up a piece of limestone throw the intake. Rookie mistake right.......I feel pretty stupid about it. Well assuming that I sucked up only ONE piece of stone, I can see it jamming the impeller and it has locked up the entire motor. I again assume the the impeller is ran of the crank so its not letting the motor turn over. Help me out and let me know if im correct. Also, I can see the impellor blades and they are a little marred up but not bad. They don't look bad in my judgement, but what do I know. Do slight imperfections make a difference? They blades do not look bent, just a little scratched up.

Finally, what do I have to do to remove the stone? take the entire nozzle assembly and impeller housing off? Also, are there any other issues I should be worried about once I remove the stone? Internal damages maybe?

Yes, remove the pump out of the rear of the ski. You then can un-lodge the stone, be careful of the veins in the pump. The important edges of the impeller are the tail end and clearance to the wear ring. You should check the bearings while the pump is out of the ski.

Awesome. Thank you for the advice. I'll get a chance to tear it apart next weekend.
