Buying a 1985 Tide Craft bass Boat. it has a 120 HP motor on it, bolted thru the transom. I will either put on a 9.9 or an older 40HP E-rude. They both are clamp-on type mounts. How do I do it? DO i HAVE to buy a jack-plate? Or is there some simple plate to bolt thru the transom holes that will accomodate the clamp=on motor? Help!!!

Re: Jack Plate needed?

Are you saying, that you are replacing the 120hp and putting on a 9.9 hp or 40?
