Are these motors a true 30hp at power head or at the jet?Thanks

From what I have read in the past most seam to be rated at the head and roughly 10hp less at the jet. But I’m not 100% sure about that.

No..you have a twin carb 40 hp with a jet which is rated 30hp at jet unit.

Here is the motor. Want to make it a remote if I buy it. Not sure if that would be difficult as far as the throttle hook up?

The remote cables mount in same place as tiller cables, depending on cotrol box you will need to use the 33c cables with adapters

Ok..Another question..I have seen a lot,of jets at the river .This is the only one I have see the powder coat/paint peeling off..Guy does duck hunt and maybe pre ious owner did too.Could have been in one of the bays/ or brackish salt water is my only reason it is happening.?
