I even remember Tex Ritter (John's dad) who performed the sound track. :)

Ok, how many remember the name of Sky King's plane and how about the 10 cent Saturday movies for kids. Buck Roger serials and Roy Rogers and don't forget Tarzan. Those days we would go out side when we got home and pretend we were those characters. (You know, the dark ages)

My all time favorite, and I sure wish we had about 200 men and women like his character today was Mr. Smith goes to Washington. I just can't think of a film Jimmy Stewart was in that wasn't great. Many will say It's a wonderfull life but I guess after seeing it for the 500th time it's starting to wear a little thin.

I just hate that they have so many commercials as opposed to 10 years or so ago.

Luck

The airplane that most will remember is a Cessna 310. Anyone remember what his first airplane was?

I searched high and low a few years ago and found "It's a Wonderful Life." in it's intended form, black and white, on DVD. Now we watch that every couple of years and without commercials along with "A Christmas Story."

The first airplane was a Cessna T-50, aka "Bamboo Bomber." It was called "Songbird," also.

Re: I've Had Enough

I'm a fan of TCM and also the Encore Western channel. I wish someone would bring back some of the old series that used to be on like Death Valley Days, Rawhide, Have Gun Will Travel, Branded, and The Rebel.

I used to hate the Saturday kids movies at the theater. Although they were 25 cents in my day. I hated them because I was an usher making 75 cents an hour, and moms would drop off their kids and expect us to baby sit them for a couple of hours while they went shopping.

I may go by The_Kid, but I'm not.
