I've got a leak flowing out of the bottom. Ns30c3

I have never worked on a lower unit. Where could this leak be coming from, I don't see any leaks coming from up top?

I am confident that I can get this done but where do I start? I was going to take the lower unit off anyway to install a no drill hydrofoil.

Is it clean or dirty oil coming from lower leg ? If clean is gear oil leaking from lower leg oil filling bolt, worn gasket issue or nut bit loose, check. If dirty, black and smelly it's fuel/oil mix combustion left overs being drained down the leg, that's normal assuming it's a 2 strokes engine.

If it's black it's almost certainly just unburned fuel/oil and normal. If it is anything other than black, you have a gear oil leak.
