today i took a little brother out on an outing. (my wife and i are big brothers and sisters)
and we have taken his sister out on a few events, the last one being our annual christmas party i believe.
well i guesse we made an impact in her life, cuz as soon as she saw me, she dropped everything she was doing and ran over, gave me a big hug, and said that she missed me and my wife. (the little girl is 11 or 12 years old)
it took everything i had not to shed a tear.
but to know that i brought a smile to a child that has little to near nothing almost broke me.

im not fishing for compliments and the only reason i advertise in my sig is because here in cornwall theyre are over 80 children on a waiting list.
i try to encourage as many people as i can to look into being a big brother/sister
my wife and i have seen teenagers with no direction get inspired and become somewhat successful because of the program
