Hi to all, I am writing you from Italy. the engine of my boat has a problem. it has never had serious problem but last week it stopped suddendly. I can't start it, after a lot of trying it started but only at quite full trottle with a lot of smoke and strange sound (think only three cyl works), when come back to idle only after 3 secnds comes down and immediatly goes off, tryed to clean spark but they get dirty suddendly....<br />please help me...<br />thanks to all

Hey Ronco,<br />When you have your spark plugs out to check the compression (which by the way in an engine of that vintage should be over 100 psi in each cylinder without more than 10psi difference between any cylinder), check the spark going to each plug. You should get a sharp crisp blue 1/2" spark from the wire to ground. Check the condition of the spark plugs. Clean or replace as needed.
