it works!!

took the boat out for the first time in 2 years.. first time after i dropped in a reman 260 last summer..

no problems to speak of.. started up.. idled fine.. no hesitation when throttle up.. kept it under 3000rpm but no problems up to there.. was pretty choppy out there on lake Michigan today.. but got to run it for an hour at least..

idled fine after running for a bit very steady 20 on the vacuum gauge.. started up after shut it down...

oil pressure good.. temp never over 160

no vibration or noises... it was pretty nice to get it out there and actually have it work!!

no water in oil afterwards..

plugs look good.. no water in cylinders.. no water in drive lube..

thanks everybody for the guidance and help to get this thing dropped in and running again...

That sounds great. I'm glad to hear that everything works.
I almost always find some problem with my engine/hull each year.
