For those that have been helping me out to resurrect my old 1981-1983 (? Unconfirmed) Honda BF75 from the outdoor rack in the back yard where it has sat for over 7 years in the elements. Thank you for all your help! It is appreciated and this is the place I always come for help. What a great site for information.
I was able to get it running with a Carb cleaning, fuel pump rebuild, fuel lines, setting the timing, and new impeller. Had it running in my 55 gallon drum last night for over an hour. Set the idle air screw under load (in gear) and warm (Running 10 minutes). Starts first pull without choke warm, and 1 pull with choke cold (sat for hour outside - 3 degrees F).
Note
1) I set the idle air screw on the rich side, thinking it would be easier to start and idle at low speeds.
2) Main use is as a kicker motor on a 1993 Lund Pro V 1775 boat. Never going to have RPM's over 1000. So idling is critical to my application.
I would post pictures, but I keep getting an "Unknown Error" code. Sorry, when at home tonight I will try again.
