I can't believe it took this long for someone to come to this conclusion. There are many of us who are in this category. It is one of the things that I think the younger generation has called attention to and hopefully a balance can be reached. If there is a problem I have with business is that they fail to recognize who exactly is doing all the heavy lifting and what price they are actually having to pay to make the organization successful.

Re: Is this you?

Been there, done that and got the Tshirt. It sux.

High income cannot compensate a family or spouse for burned out shells with little interest or availability for anything but the job. Nor can we go back and reclaim all of the joy of living we missed when we were young "dedicated workers".

This same phenomenon infects the two income family. "Gotta have this and gotta have that, gotta have a middle class (at least) life style" is the modern substitute for true success in life, which is never measured by the accumulation of bux and "stuff".

And furthermore. . . . ahhh, never mind. I've said enough.

Been there done that too.

N' how 'bout havin' ta have both Mom n' Dad werk 'cause of all those wonderful taxes on everything ya need or want? (Water, heat, phone, cable TV, food*, income ta pay fer the stuff in the first place), *this Socialist place exempts some food that the minders think ya should buy. Sorry fer the hijack, but taxes do make all of us werk much harder to feed Nanny Gubmint Too!

Critical thinkin' is the only way ta save us all, I say!!!

Respectfully, JR
