I would guess a 20" shaft would need to measure to make sure. Measure from the where the transom clamp hooks on the boat to the cavitation plate just above the prop. If it's around 22" it's a 20" shaft.

OK that's what thought cav. plate to mount clamp

this the thickness of the shape make it hard to distiguise it from a known XL shaft?

I thinking of doing a inbroad outboard to outboard conversion engine pod on a 43 " transom the top of pod I have would be located 18" from keel I think a 20" shaft would put the engine to close to water.
Thanks

An 18" transom is a shortshaft motor 15". If that is what you need you probably are not going to find it in that size motor.
