Is this Ski Worth Fixing??

I am interested in purchasing a 1993 Seadoo sit down (XP or SP one of the two). The hull and seat is in excellent condition, as well as the controls and drive. The ski has a little problem though, the engine is blown. I do not know how easy it is to replace jet ski engines. I have always heard that jet ski engines are relatively easy to replace (compared to replacing an inboard engine in the boat). I am also not sure how much those Seadoo/Rotax engines cost to replace. Would this ski be worth fixing??

probably not,, the engine with gaskets etc will probably cost 700 plus,, and shipping for the core for an exchange rebuilt engine,, assuming nothing else is wrong you would have 800 or more invested,, and a lot of time,, you would have a 600 dollar ski at the end. if it is a salt water ski,, you will have a lot of trouble removing the bolts to tear down the parts that you need to remove for the core exchange. you would probably need to rebuild the carb// replace the battery,, buy a tool for timing the rotary valve and another for removing the P T O,,

You might check around for a recked jet ski to pull an engine from. then buy the other.
