Very cool boat ... but a VERY fishy ad. Why would you consider trades for 1/2 the price you've been offered by collectors? Sump'n just ain't right there. Approach with caution ... if you're looking at it.

Very neat boat. I do get the feeling that the owner (or author of the ad anyway) is feigning ignorance about boats while embellishing the $9k value and "offers" they have had :)

The seller is very inventive. He implies that he is the original owner without saying implicitly that he is.

It is a Chieftain. Skylark is a 14 foot sailboat introduced in 1964. There is no such animal as a "startcraft Cheif Skylark, even spelled properly. I believe he found this on ebay and got confused: 1964 Starcraft Boats Starchief Chieftain Skylark Boat Print Ad | eBay It is so rare it doesn't even exist.

She has a nice freshish repaint, needs interior work, but has "new floor and the part where the motor goes has had new wood installed". I wish he had some better shots of the motor and some of the interior. And turn some lights on!

For a supposed long-time owner, the seller is clueless.

$4500? I dunno. You have to do some homework, Jimbo.

Well, sounds like he's almost as old as me so may at that moment he just couldn't remember what you call that
standy-up-thing-where-the-motor-goes.

Looks like a Aristocraft boat from days gone by. It also resembles a truck topper made for boats. Both are unique but not very functional at all. It gets extremely hot when you are in an enclosed area like that and under the sun. Can't really stand up inside either which means little movement once you're seated.

Yah, the seller is kinda lost a little bit. It's not a $9000 dollar boat nor is it a $4500 boat. Maybe $2K on a good day?
