Is this prop to transom height acceptable?

I own a 14' Alumacraft Backtroller with a 25HP Mariner longshaft. Transom is 20". Well, I'm looking to add a kicker motor for HP restricted lakes and tried my old short shaft 9.9 Merc on there. The transom is 19" at this point. My 25HP is mounted about an inch up on the transom. When looking at these motors side by side, the 9.9 looks like it's only about 1-1/2" higher than the 25HP. Take a look at the pics. If I can get by with this I will, as I never know when I might need a small motor for say a rental boat at a cottage or such.
On a separate point, though, I have an opportunity to trade my 9.9HP short for a 8HP long shaft Merc in nice shape.
Thanks

Thanks Lubedude! That's a relief, since I really like this motor. Starts on the first or second pull everytime! ....knock on wood!

Most of the time I'm fishing alone. Plus with the added weight of the kicker motor, the rear will probably be a bit lower than normal.
Thanks for the replies.
