Is this normal?

There is a small hole on the left side of the lower unit. It's just forward of where the 'water port" is for the ears... Motor is a 15hp Johnson 2000 model... When it's running, I just noticed there is a steady stream of water that comes from it. This this normal? Thanks!

There are small holes that are there to drain the lower unit of water when you raise the motor. If you are running on ear muffs, then water would come out of that hole.

Yes-- I had the ear muffs on and the engine was in the normal position.. Thanks for your help...
