Welcome!!

That could be a sign the oil injection pump is leaking oil to the fuel side. Just an FYI -- it's not a VRO (variable ratio oiling) pump. When talking to a dealer if you say "VRO" they may get stuck on that rather than the fact that it's an OMS (oil metering system) pump. That may lead to confusion and getting wrong parts.

Yes, this is something to address. Oil getting into the fuel side only creates smoke and burns a little extra oil. But if fuel starts getting in the oil side, the motor may not be getting sufficient oil to lube the internals properly.

I read on the search that a check valve could be gone causing oil to leak back to the filter is this located on the block? also when replaced the fuel sysytem i used the right clamps etc new line bulb,,but i notcied when i took the long pickup tube(plastic i think) out of the fuel tank where the tube connects to the aluminum fitting, which connects to the anti siphon valve, it would spin now if the tank isnt full could this be considered a place where the line could suck the air in from. its all located inside the 85 gallon tank.I know an air leak can cause excessive oil ..
