is this normal for my motor?

While running my new (to me) 1980 90hp I-6 on the muffs, water exits above the prop from the holes, as well as from the pee hole. The stream on my 76 650 thunderbolt merc is like a super soaker, whereas this motor is weaker. Is this just characteristic of the bigger motor?

Not my motor, but good pic. Water exits from ports in bottom left of pic...

Am I ok or does this warrant further investigation?

Most of the cooling water will exit those grates above the A-V plate, line in your picture. Telltale is just to let you know it is pumping water. Telltales also clog easily. Water pressure is a couple of pounds at idle, 7-10 PSI at high speed.

Don't mess around. Change your impeller if you do not know how old it is.
