This guy wants to trade his boat for my gaming laptop worth about $800. Says it runs and everything but won't shift. Is it worth it?

You can still play games on your LT, but you won't be able to use this boat. Michigan is a title state, which the seller does not have and neither will you without spending time and money.

The proper paperwork (title), as stated would be my concern. Unless the seller has it, which I doubt, it is a no-go.
