I won't buy a Humminbird, regardless of price. That's just my opinion.

I have never operated a Humminbird that I liked.<br /><br />I never had one that would hold the bottom reading at planing speeds. An Eagle on the same boat worked great.<br /><br />Just my opinion.

I think you changed my mind on my future purchase. So many negatives (by different people regarding H'birds) and positives about Eagle.<br /><br />Hey Humminbird - do you read these forums and take note?

Hummingbird for the money is okay. The problem I've found is that you just can't get the company to repair it as easily as Lowrance or Garmin will. Great service with Lowrance, personaly. Garmin is pretty good also from what I hear. Just my .02 cents.<br /><br />TakeEm

my brother inlaw has the wide paramount - it works at any speed ... has a single 24 degree view + the 90 degree wide side view. seems to work good although i have seen any other brand in action.
