Is this a Starcraft Boat?

Hey guys I just picked up this boat for a restoration project and cant find any info on the hull itself. The engine is a merc 1350 that the previous owner said will run (well see about that) just needs a new battery. Anyway i found the info plate in the engine for the info about it and it is a 1970 merc 1350 but i cant find a info plate for the boat itself. here is a picture maybe some of you long time starcraft guys can identify it or tell me where i might find the info plate with the serial num and what not on it. Thanks! By the way this is my first iboats post and im likin what ive been readin on these forums :) Looks like a great group of boaters. Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can offer!

is that a hard top for that boat, in the picture????

Don't think its a Starcraft by that picture, but sure looks like good project!

yes thats a hard top, goes over the front seating area like where the driver sits

Well it certainly could be a Starcraft but who knows. There were literally hundreds of companies making fiberglass closed bow runabouts in the 50's and 60's with some only producing a handful of boats. So identification will be difficult. Cool little boat and should be a screamer if that big Merc runs.

so if this ends up being an all fiberglass glaspar boat, does it have stringers for mounting in the new deck? Also with this size boat do i need to add a bunch of flotation stuff under the deck like foam and what not? I am very new to boats but I love doing project vehicles and what not. I also love fishing and I wanna have a boat to get away from the crap shore fishing :). What would you guys recommend in the steps of restoring this?

TONS of glass boat restorations to read in the resto section for you to get an idea how it's constructed. I'm sure it has glass encapsulated wood stringers under the deck.

Is it an effect of the pic: to me the trailer pole seems to be bent upward...

Cool looking boat BTW!

thanks man! Hhmm i havent noticed it before but i see what you mean. Im gonna say the pic cause i went out and looked and it seems straight to me.
