Dont stop with the windshield & rails..Take the whole thing home!;)

It does look like a Starcraft..a rather large and coveted 22 foot SS maybe?

You'd have to measure the width of this one and compare with yours..
Those rails look like it is not stock..Doesn't it look like they are bent out a bit there on the port side???

I'd guess they came off a large center console or other sizeable boat..

Lets see your Holiday!! I like em!

Settle down fellas, I think it's a glasser.

No reason you couldn't use the hardware off it though.

I see the possibility at a glasser, but.. Look at the side boards (yellow & red box) note the metal trim at the top of the sideboards.. Could be a TIN .. but.. note the purple box... No Side Rub Rail.. but could be the owner didn't want it ? was it an option? and looking at the size of the fenders, it has to be in the 22' range.. it's got dual axels.

Now I'm also looking at the wheel, it looks like black plastic, but it could've been replaced...

My handrail is similar in height, also take note of the horn on the port bow..

Upon further review, it is absolutely, without question, a glasser.

And it's not a Starcraft, either. Looks more like a Crestliner...

Wow Puget - quit the **** Tracy you are. It may be Almac there but I think it is another buisness across the street - the one with all the old cars on the side of the hill. If you drive up the hill and look to the right into the hill full of junk it is a little off the road. I am trying to break away today to maybe talk to them or just get a closer look. If it is a Starcraft or something you want by all means start dealing for it. It could be a while till I would have the time to do anything . And bringing the whole thing home is NO option for me !?!?!?!?:confused::confused::(

My holiday with this weather is out by the refineries now under cover till the weather gets better ---- maybe spring ah ?

Good luck -- Jim

WELL -------- I got closer today ---- and the steering wheel said--Reinell --------------------------- ? Bummer.

I still may take some measurements on that windshield and rail it does resemble the starcraft a lot ..

Check out the link in my signature to my Jupiter. I put a glasser windshield on that and it worked out great. You most certainly don't have to be looking exclusively at Starcraft windshields.

Oldbadger !! THE BOAT is a 1975 Reinell Glassboat. The Engine is a 140 I/O says it runs as well as the Outdrive-- They say. The trailer has 4 flats on it and also has (working or not) Brakes . It seems to have a power winch on it. It is owned by Salvage Boys and on the Phone he said he can not part it out and would like $800 for it. He claims the boat is useable. I would want to look at what is restorable on it . That is a lot of $$ for something sitting in a salvage yard, I think. A bit expensive if needing tires. I would like a dual axel with brakes but that is to much just for the trailer its self. I Think. See if we get a response from others on this. Educated opinions are appriciated. ED

The boatyard owner said it was his fathers a long time ago. I asked him if it was for sale, he said around $600. The trailer is trash. Heck, I can't get good weather to sand mine, much less work on it like I want to...and I'm thinking of this one too? Help! Ya'll done infected me! Oh, he has a ton of teak swim platforms, rails, bimini tops....oh SANTA......

For "around" 600??" Nice..Save her if ya can..And if it truly was his fathers..You have some good history on her..That is the beauty of tin boats..sit out, snowed in and on..and can come back to life.

Kev & EZ, calm down a bit my friends. Let me tell you the story. I went there to find parts, windshield, bow rails, ect. The owner told another man to show me the 'parts' boats. The very first one he went to was this one. I said ' THATS A STARCRAFT!' I realized he didn't know what he has so I shut up my enthusiasm. I looked around a bit and finally asked the owner about the boat. Like I said, the trailer is trash. I said " instead of parts, would you sell the whole thing?" He told me it was his fathers first boat, and he was sure he would sell it, just not sure how much. " He has all the papers and would probably take 6oo. for her" Anyway, short story long:rolleyes: I want it. I have a great wife, no doubt. I haven't even started/finished my first redo. Holy crap what a fix. Good news, he believes the boat will be around a while, no-one is interested. Bad news, they are clearing the lot of boats during the winter. He said this would not be one of them, BUT........do I wait?I did tell him (truth) If i couldn't get it, I know someone who would. Back to basics guys, Look close, is it a SS?

$800 ? ? EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS ? ? WOW. I never would of guessed that. There is 6? of pine needles in that thing and you can?t even get around it with all the black berry bushes that have grown all over it. I do know the guy who owns Ferrell?s salvage yard and before this came up I had talked to him about yards around the valley here. We did bring this one up and if I remember right they are not a ?Salvage? yard per-say but classified as something else. Maybe that is why he would sell the boat but not the parts.

Fshngo!! I would offer him a bit less and see if he agrees. If not the $600 If the Motor on the back if runable and the boat are well worth the price. The S/S is becoming hard to find in good condition. If you want it it would be nice to cover it when you get it as I hate to leave water inside a boat.

After thinking about my last post. I don't see how I can let this go. Even if I don't have time/money to rebuild this one, maybe someone would want her. Don't get me wrong, I get first choice:D. If swmbo gets mad, well, I hope to be able to sleep in the Starchief..;)Heck, maybe one of ya'll could take me home up north........nahhhh. Love her too much. Always can find a good boat. Hard to find a great woman.
