72 Opel GT
Just doing safety checks before we start driving the car this summer. And an excuse to play with it. The carb I think is a Holley Weber 2 barrel but Ive never seen a set up like that under it.
Looks like 6 gaskets of some kind. Will be taking the carb off this evening or tomorrow to fix gas leaks.
Just wondering if anyone else had ever seen something like this.
Thanks

Top view...
This was more than likely done as a way to eliminate heat buildup in the carb or as just a spacer for some reason. Common years back. Those little webers were good little carbs and you can still get kits for them.

Well that makes me feel a little better LubeDude.
Neat site Dolluper. When I get the carb off this evening I should be able to get a model number off it to match up on the web site. Then I'll be able to order a kit from the local auto store.

Thanks guys

I'm sure the Holley/Weber was not the original carburator. The spacer is probably an adaptor to go from the stock single barrel carb to the aftermarket two barrel. So in that stack you have gasket, adaptor, gasket, carburator.

IT looks like they stacked a bunch of gaskets instead of an adaptor plate
