IS THIS A GOOD DEAL? Help please.

I have found a 2004 Johnson 90hp 4cyl. 2 stroke fuel injected engine "Salt Water Edition" only used in freshwater (Montana) with a new jet installed. This motor also includes the controls and cables along with the oil tank all for $5000.00 and has under 100hrs. I have not researched these enough to find out what they go for.

Your help would be helpful.

No ... the NADA price (which isn't always accurate, but it's a guide shows average retail @ $2715. I'd be inclined to offer no more than $2500.

on outboards NADA is usless. the condition of the motor, compression can spark check, lower unit oil, over all care. 5 years old, plus the jet pump. it is on the higher side, but not that out of line. Freshwater a big plus.
