still about 500 high but it's getting closer at the age of the skis hardley used seems a bit strange and that would be a bad thing not necessarily a good thing well maintained and in excellent shape would be better, I had a guy tell me he had 2, 2003 gti's with a twin trailer in excellent shape for 8600 that sounded like a good deal, I went and looked at them and I have never seen two skies that were so corroded inside, turned out they were sitting in salt water on a float on dock for a couple of years, I was totally not interested in those as they would become a big headache in the not too distant future. he insisted they were in perfect condition over the phone.

Would 3600.00 offer be an insult? Have seen them and they look clean. Talked to owner and he said spx was the wifes and hardly ridden, Xp was his and he has put new crank, rods, and pistons in it this year.

I would be a bit concerned about the xp 787 engines being rebuilt by the person who now wants to sell it, could mean he knows it was not done corectly or expects more problems from it or maybe not it's a gamble.

Re: Is this a decent deal?

Yea, I stopped by to inquire on my way home from work and talked to the dude about them and he said that the XP was rebult by a shop because when he took it out of storage, (had been stored last 2 years) it wouldn't turn over. He took it in and they said the crank was frozen and he paid over 1800.00 to put in new crank, piston, rings. Boy I haven't rebuilt any jet skis, but I've done plenty of 2-stroke motocrossers, and that price to me seems like a rob job. I think I will steer clear as I don't get a warm fuzzy. Unless you think different. Thanks for the help.
