is there a way to lock my motor down?????

I have a 74 evinrude 115hp with an add on tilt and trim. The tilt and trim isnt currently working I'm trying to fix it. When they added Tilt and trim it looks like they removed my tilt lock mech. Is there any way I can lock my motor down because I'm trying to take it out this weekend. When I put it in revers the motor trys to raise out of the water. Is there a pin I can put in to keep this from happing any advice would be apreciated.

I wish I could remember, seems like the tilt lock is disabled when the kit is installed, but I don't remember just how. However, if they removed parts on yours, it would seem like it is disabled for good. Unless you could find all the missing parts.

so will I be able to run without it locked bc like I said when I throttle it the motor starts to bob in and out of the water
