Hi gang,
I have a 1960 60 hp Sea king (Gale division of OMC)model #GG8850A. It runs off a magneto and is a v4. I was wondering what type of tachometer i need to get and how to wire it if it is not in the instructions. There was no original tachometer. let me know if more info is needed to help answer my question. On a side note, what does the hot light indicator connect to. it only has one lead up in the dash coming out of the indicator. Thanks for any help i can get.

I have a 1960 Evinrude Lark 40.

Bought a TinyTach (www.tinytach.com) which works great.

You need a two-stroke/magneto/inductive pickup tach and that's what the TinyTach is.
