is starboard strong enough for an anchor pulpit?

Looking into making a anchor pulpit for my boat is 1.5 thick star board thick enough?

Don't know what size pulpit you are making, but have you considered the weight of the starboard you want to use? And the cost? You might be better served by making one from fiberglass/foam or a commercially made one designed for your boat.

Starboard is expensive and it?s mechanical and thermo properties sux.

It's would be cheaper and stronger to build one out of fiberglass or buy one already built. Should be able to pick one up for $300-350.
