Is oil here normal?

9.9 Yamaha 4 stroke. I ran it for two hours today and when I pulled the boat out I noticed there was a small amount of motor oil running down the outside of the lower unit. Since the boat normally stays in the water I have never observed this before. Is this normal?

That doesn't sound normal. If oil is leaking out then water can leak in. Check the lower unit oil. If it has water in it(milky looking) change it and replace the o-rings on the drain and vent plugs. After all that if it is still leaking you might have to replace the prop shaft seals.
