Is my OMC King Cobra A Cone Clutch instead of Dog Clutch?

I was comparing it with the picture I have of Dog Clutch drives and I *think* I have the cone clutch style. My drive is this picture:

The picture I was comparing it to is:

Am I correct or not?

Does this mean I will be more fortunate in obtaining parts and if the need is required to get service from a Volvo Penta dealer?

I thank you in advance.

That is the "Rare" cone clutch type King Cobra (OMC Only) has nothing to do with the Volvo/OMC joint venture version.
Sorry.

I think that is why you have the "E" in your serial number which means either prop rotation.

Definately the Cone Clutch Cobra, looking at your pic, you have the telltale "hump" at the top of the drive indicating the cone clutch, the regular Cobra's were flat there. Regarding the manual, strongly urge you to either watch ebay for an original OMC factory manual, shoudn't be that hard to find using your model # ending in AMK (1992) or you can contac these folks who have been doing reprints of the originals. Ditto Boatin Bob...call Ken Cook. Have the Model number from your engine ID tag available when you call. Might be good to have the drive ID number too. They have Service manuals, parts manuals and owners manuals.

I got mine in a week, the real deal, not an aftermarket. Most of the aftermarket are trash from what I've read.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have taken your advice and have ordered the OMC manual as suggested and hopefully will receive it soon.

I wonder if parts will be easier or harder to get for the cone clutch drive?

Thank you again.
