my motor is an 85 horse 1987 00X1050 858F7B. Force of course.

Ayuh,.... Never heard of a Dual Exhaust outboard....

I think he might be referring to either the ports on the midleg, or mid leg ports plus exhaust snout? I know I have heard Frank mention dual before. I have two 85hp's, one chrysler that has one hole in the midleg, and an 89 that has dual holes in the midleg. Maybe a pic is and a chime in from one of the sage's in order?

No, he is referring to the dual port exhaust Force engines that had an exhaust snout above the prop, and also had thru hub exhaust.

It was used on some 90, 120, 150 hp, and the L-Drives, 1990-1994.


Your 85 hp is single port exhaust.

All exhaust exits thru the exhaust snout.

No, it does not.
It only comes out the exhaust snout, located above the prop.

If this is about what prop to buy, some guys have successfully use thru hub props on their older motors.
It may require some spacers, or thrust hub, but it can be done.
Its been covered here a couple times, but good luck finding those thread posts.
