Is my gimbal bearing sealed or greaseable

Hi All,
Based on the photo, is anyone able to tell whether this is a sealed or greaseable gimbal bearing?
To be clear, I have no issues with my boat. The bearing looks and feels perfectly smooth and well lubricated and makes no noise when underway. But I would like to know if it is a sealed or greaseable bearing.

This is a 2008 Alpha One Gen2 transom and drive. Sterndrive s/n 1A246749. I cannot find the transom s/n anywhere (may be under layers of AF paint), so I don’t know whether it came from the factory with a sealed bearing or not. (I believe 2008 was the transition year.) But as I am not the original owner, I also don’t know how many times the bearing might have been replaced since 2008.

A few more clues:
• The dot has no color, but I note it is not at the 10 o’clock position, so somebody made no effort to line it up correctly on installation, possibly suggesting sealed.
• The gimbal housing has a grease zerk fitting and not a block-off set screw. This suggests greaseable. But I have found other work and upgrades on my boat that a PO did not complete correctly.
• The grease seal is still in place behind the gimbal bearing. But again, this wouldn’t be definitive, either way.
• When I pump grease into the zerk, I see some squeeze-out from around the outer diameter of the bearing and also behind the bearing. This might suggest sealed. And if so, I understand that I may risk damaging something if I keep adding grease & pressure through the zerk. This is the main reason I want to know for sure whether the bearing is sealed or not.

I’d appreciate any light that can be shed!

Plain dot denotes greaseable bearing So someone Installed it wrong.

see photos form 2009 merc service bulletin

I would use it till it makes noise then replace

It looks greaseable. Is there a grease fitting on the transom?
The piece between center shaft bushing and outer ring doesn't appear to be extending
This is sealed

Thanks, Scott06 and Alldodge.

So a greaseable bearing installed incorrectly. Not what I was hoping to hear!
I have been running this bearing about 20 hours every season since 2020. And giving it 3-5 pumps through the zerk every year.
I wonder if it could have been getting some grease in the bearing, even if the dots/holes don't line-up correctly...?
As mentioned, it feels & sounds perfect.

Find out if it is aligned
Pump grease until you see it. If you pump and it gets real hard and don't see it, then the hole or the spacer is not in alignment

After 3 pumps with new grease I was able to see it squeezing-out from between the bearing and tolerance ring. It didn't get harder to pump.
I also couldn't find any of the new grease behind the bearing, in the gap in front of the grease seal.

What would this tell you?

to me that means the grease holes are not lined up and you are not greasing the bearing. Grease should be coming out around the shielding on the bearing.

Run it till it starts making noise then replace it with a permalube or a properly placed greaseable aftermarket bearing. they groan when they start to wear

With grease coming out there its one of 2 things. The bearing is premalube or bearing was installed incorrectly (note your dot is straight up). In post 2 the pics show where the dot should be when using greasable bearing, even though they are peramlube

One of my greaseable bearings note the dot and hole

Thank you, both.
Not wanting to create more problems than I have right now, I'm not inclined to pull & replace it yet.
So I guess I'll do as Scott06 suggested and run it until and unless it starts complaining.
Really appreciate the inputs!
