is my compression right?

i want to thank everybody for their help in getting my motor going i did a comp.check on my 1985 60 hp johnson <br />top cylinder was 150,150,150 Checked it 3 times<br />bottom was 152 152 152 i look in my manual and i can't find the specs for the compression <br />both plugs out when checked <br />throttle plates were held open

Hey osly,<br />Yup, that's good compression. The main consideration in compression, assuming it's above 100 psi, is that there isn't a large difference between the cylinders. A good rule of thumb is not more than 10-15% difference.<br />Backlash

thanks for the info backlash yes I knew about how more important it was for both cylinders to be close in compression i was just concerned that i was doing something wrong i thought that 152 and 150 sounded kind of high thanks again
