hello all. i have a 1976 85 hp johnson that after being sunk has sat for a couple years. This year i decided to put it on a boat. first i pulled the plugs and poured a little 2 stroke oil in each cylinder and let it sit. turned the motor over by hand making sure all was smooth. the motor was raised and after a while some oil came through the carbs. did a compresion test and put more oil in the cylinders. after carb cleaning and other basic items it was time to start it. so i roll it out of my shed and it is sitting on a slight downhill when i notice oil dripping from where the prop meets the lower unit and running down the back of the skeg. i started it on the hose. after running it i pulled the prop and looked up behind it at the exhaust port and the oil was now milky from being mixed with the water hose. so my question is does this seem like a lower unit seal or oil getting in to the exhaust from pouring in the cylinders. sorry for the long post just wanted to give all info

I think I would drain the lower unit and see what that oil looks like. but decarbing and that oil u sprayed in the engine will give u a bunch of oil running down the skeg for a while
