More than a little confused on what motor is in the boat.
Purchased used and I need to replace the water pump on the front of the engine.
I noticed a small leak coming from the front when running the motor.
I have a 1998 Four Winns 258 vista cruiser.
It's a 5.7 GSi with Duoprop.
The engine has an OMC Cobra label on the motor and has 57FCPBYC for model number.
One of the DYI dock mechanics said it's a Chevy motor because the distributor is at the back of motor.
Trying to look up the model number and it is saying it's a Ford Motor.

Thanks for any help!!!!

Welcome to iboats

Post a pic of it
I believe Ford referred their 351s as 5.8 Liters, Chevy, called theirs a 5.7

The "G" in 5.7 GSi means that it is a GM engine. The "Si" means that it is a throttle body fuel injected engine. A 5.0 Fi or 5.8 Fi would be a Ford engine.

How can I determine the correct Circulating Water Pump to order?
I can't find the engine model number I have listed for the pump.

There is a small drip/leak from the front on the engine when it is running. He raw water pump is not leaking.
