Hello
well if you lived closer I would tell you to spray it up then I could sell you pistons and a carb job :) :) . However since yu live a bit away from my side of the pond I will tell you dont do that.
the carbs on that 115 are easy to do. take careful pics and blow all passaages out with carb cleaner after removing the bowls . dont mess with the big brass plugs unless that passage wont flow there is nothing under them and gas does not sit there. I have seen more yammi carbs torn up because people had to remove the 2 big brass screws on the carb tops. anyway buy a carb gasket kit. if the needle is not allowing a flooding condition you might
get by with just replacing the bowl and mounting flange gaskets.
good luck and keep posting
]

Re: is carb cleaner any good?

As a foolow up to this post and several others that relate to carb cleanings and rebuilds, what is the best type of carb cleaner to get? Will any generic carb cleaner spray do the trick? Or should it be the type of carb cleaner that you put in your car, poured into a bowl to soak your carb parts in? I though i had seen the names of a few carb cleaning products in some of these posts, but I could nto remember and was nto sure if you could get it at any auto parts store.

I have carb kits comming tomorrow and want to start the tear down and cleaning process tomorrow night, just wanted to check about what type of cleaner to use. Any advice would help.

knightgang
