i dont know naything about chrysler motors. All i know about this one is carbs need rebuild. I dont know how hard it would be to find a carb rebuild kit for a 72. I know it be easy for a mercury but like i said idk alot about these. Is it worth fixing? I can buy the boat, motor and trailor for 300. Has all the controls and stuff guy just said it isnt getting gas anymore. To me it sounds like a fuel pump not the carbs. Any help would be great.

The old Chryslers were good running motors.Your right it sounds like a fuel pump problem.
Do a compression/spark test. Then if they are ok then check the oil in the lower. Then buy.
Parts are still readily available.J

I'd say its worth it. Parts like fuel pumps, carb kits and water pumps are easy to find. Iboats has them, along with marinas that sell Mercury parts and a ton of websites. Chrysler turned to force which was then bought by mercury.

I'd be more worried about the transom of that $300 boat being rotten that I would be about the motor.
