IRT (Bolivia)

Lot's of "manufactured" drama on this one.

What you say?

As I was watching last night, the substitute "spotter" for Lisa, is a true Neanderthal (G.W. Bowles). He is "smacking" his GPS and wondering why it won't read. Proving himself as a Neanderthal by saying: "punch it, with an idiot light on, etc. Idiot lights are for those-"idiots".

I was shouting at the TV saying: "It won't read because you are in a truck and the antenna can't see the satellites-YOU MORON!!!!!!" G.W. is a "real Trucker-with a lisp? I wonder how that plays out-on the road?
This was the episode where they really did "manufacture" a crisis. Think about it (most don't), they have helo shots of the truck. They have behind, forward and side shots of the truck. THEY ARE NOT ALONE! I'll bet at least three chase vehicles-crossing that lake. All to get a good shot iof Lisa's behind?

By the way, what happened to her? She used to be cute. Now she has a speach impediment and she looks like she is smoking crack. Thinner-yes, but not pleasant.

I will admit that the "death road" shots are real. There is NO saving one, if they go over the side. That road is truly frightening. I would be frightened-walking-it.

By the way, somebody needs to take "Tim's" Energy Drinks away-what an IDIOT! He has proven himself to be none other than-TALK! When the chips are down, he cowers.

All drama, but its better than watching: "Keeping up with the Kardashians"!!! Not as much human beauty but a lot more world and scenery..

Your thoughts?

I was up in Alaska a month ago and had nothing to do one night so my guests put on IRT. WOW...and hour of my life wasted.

I was up there last week. The locals feel the same as you stated. Non event.

IRT Bolivia is REAL, IMHO, real danger.

Oh, sure. There's very little reality in all these reality tv shows. Survivor, the show that started it all, has people all over the place. Deadliest Catch puts on a big show too. They all play it up for the cameras.
There's a camera man at least in a chase vehicle for each truck. Even one answered Hugh(who is really irritating in both shows) after he got stuck last nite. Lisa, well, I think some stress is setting in on her. Rightfully so driving that "death road". You couldn't pay me enough.

I don't mind watching the IRT shows. Usually there is nothing better to watch during those times anyway. Except for football. I bounce back and forth for that hour.

Not as cruel as watching the Vikings!

Obviously you have not seen a Broncos game recently!!

This show is on my 3rd and 4th level of shows along with soap operas and the like, I do like Lisa, and her backside though...

The new girl on Ice Road Truckers is easy on the eyes as well....

I somewhat disagree on the Deadliest Catch. That is real danger too. The helo's aren't around when the weather get's bad, nor are the chase boats. Even if the chase boats were there, saving someone, at sea, in a storm, is DANGEROUS.

Agreed-The Vikings or the Lions are real disasters!

Agree, the danger is very real. There's a guy that lives in my town that was on one of the big pollock processing boats that were in the same waters as DC. Their boat was even featured on a Discovery show. He was in the wheelhouse. Interviewed him and he mentioned our little burg in the woods. He got to know some of the DC guys who told him about playin' it up for the show. Goes with the territory I guess. Still one of my favorites.... Wouldn't see me on any of those boats.....
