inverter hook up for twin engine 350 mercruicers, with 65 amp. alt, looking too hook up 3000 watt inverter for a two alt system,,, 1986 sea ray boat,,,,,

Not sure what your question is, inverters hook directly up to a battery or a bank of batteries. You could possibly feed your alt outputs into an 2 alt input isolator and charge the batteries from there but not sure what you want?

All you need is a 250 amp alternator per 3000 watt inverter if the inverter is 100% efficent. Ofcourse it is not 100%

[colour=blue]The capacity for recharge is directly related to how much storage capacity you have (how many/how big are the batts) and how much of the 3000w you will be using.

How often do you run the engines? (alts are useless if the're not spinning).

How many deep cycle batteries do you have and how big?

What will you be plugging in to the inverter?
