Re: Invasion of MOLD!!! Cleaning tips...DONEDONE>>>PICS
FWIW, I'm a water, fire, and mold damage/remediation specialist and just wanted to say to be careful of any sodium hypochloride containing products. Yes, at first they seem to work but they are very caustic and dry out many materials. If you use them, do not allow them to dry in the sun and as mentioned above, after rinsing, apply a reputable "reconditioning" agent.
The "lime green container" at home depot mentioned above is from a company called "Armor Guard/Mold Guard" and the product comes as either "deck wash" or "house wash". Its a good cleaning product for its intended targets but in truth, it's simply bleach with a surfactant added to it. (bleach evaporates very quickly, so a surfactant (soap) is added to reduce the surface tension and extend the evaporation time)
although others may have had success with this type of product, I wouldn't recommend using it on any marine upholstery. If your hard set on using an "oxidizing/bleaching" product, then try a stabilized sodium per carbonate (baking soda) based product. Oxy clean, etc...
Even then, be very carefull..
Oh, and bleach may kill some of the mold, but it does not kill the majority of it and does not in any way shape or form "denature" the mold spores that cause reproduction and worse, the production of "mycotoxins"..
Bleach as a disinfectant is rendered almost useless when it's applied to a dirty surface without first doing a thorough cleaning and rinsing because "organic based" substances basically neutralize the disinfecting properties of bleach.
Best advice is as mentioned by others, allow air flow/ventilation and keep the areas as dry as possible.
