Have any of you made the trip from Norfolk to Miami? If so what size vessel, how long did it take and what was the best part? I was thinking of making this trip part of my bucket list.

Took me about a week in a 65 Viking sportfish. Many bridges for me to wait to open. Stop by Stuart where I live and have some fun. For excitement take the dismal swamp in NC.

I run some in the ICW or "ditch" as some call it, it's O.K., but you have to look out and slow down for big wake boats, watch the channel/markers, especially during lower tides when it's easy to drift over and pick up a sand/mud bar, look out for jet skis, tubers, drunks, etc., some areas pretty remote, others crowded, claustrophobic and can be dangerous. There was a bad boat wreck last year on the ICW just north of St.Augustine,15 drunks in a 21' boat ran into back of a small tug, killed several right there, bad injuries, happened in a narrow channel where lots of houses, docks, etc. It could make a guy long for open water but you'll eventually get there. Sorta like the interstate highway! Be careful!
