Re: Intex M4 Question
Though I do not have the wooden motor mount, the frame that came with the newer, plastic version, allows it to be installed at 1 of 2 heights, differing by an inch or two. I have never had reason to measure the distance you reference, and can't imagine ever needing to know it. Given it is an inflatable with a v-shaped bottom, once the keel is inflated, and that installation of a motor (mine weighs 50 lbs) compresses this distance, I'm not sure if knowing it would be very useful. Forgive me if I am wrong here.
Maybe if you stated the reason for wanting to know this distance, people might be able to provide you with more useful information. If it is to determine the length of the motor shaft needed, for what it is worth, I have used the standard Minn Kota 30 lb thrust, 30" shaft with it and it has worked just fine and now use the Minn Kota 55 lb thrust, 36" shaft and it works equally as well.
