internet down?

I live in an apartment complex and this mornin when me and my roommates tried to log onto the free internet we are provided it said logins were suspended. Come to find out it saus the same thing to everyone who lives here. What is going on?

Yes, the internet is officially down and will be for 10-14 days. I would send you to the website that explains it.....but the internet is down. Tell everyone in the housing complex!

I think maybe we're all being a little too hard on the OP...

Let's handle this like every other problem that a member comes on iboats with?

First and foremost, welcome to iboats!
We'll need to know what model/year of computer, model/year of modem and who your internet provider is/was?

If you post some pictures, it'll make it easier for the other member's to help you establish why your internet is down!
depending on the year/model of modem, it most likely gonna need a rebuild? Your main circuit board is most likely rotten as is the modem casing. I would recommend a finding a new one as opposed to rebuilding...in the long run will be cheaper and serve you better?

is the data compression even across both cyls? could the i/o ports be plugged? possibly a spun hub? could be loose wires or maybe a bad boot?

yep!! and jmo....go the oem route(r) when choosing to re-boot! ....if not you could be wasting mega-giggles of your power band width. ( and if you choose to get someone else to do the work....make sure its not a hack job! )
