I have a 1987 Johnson 200 hp outboard I just replaced the stator & the timing trigger I synchronized the carbs and adjusted the timing and now I'm having an intermittent spark situation on the starboard side of the engine I do not know if it was firing properly before the replacement of those parts

This is why we only change ...1.... part at a time. To make sure we did not get a new REJECT or hook up something wrong.

That would have been great had I not had to cut the stater off and damage the timing trigger while removing the broken flywheel

That's what I'm thinking but I've had a few wiring issues so when I get home today I'm going to fiddle with the wires I already have power packs on the way figured if I replace one I'll replace them both

Checked shift switch on the side of engine block ??
I disconnected the Killswitch wire off the power pack which goes to that switch and still don't have spark already had an issue with that switch so I immediately thought of that
