I have an 89 135hp mercruiser that is experiencing an intermittent clicking when I try to start the engine. The engine starts fine for about 5 starts then on the sixth it just clicks. When I jump it across the solenoid it just clicks. I have two batteries. One is brand new and the other is fully charged. When it starts it cranks over without hesitation and starts right up. I have tried cleaning up the connections and I even replaced the solenoid but, I get the same thing. Could this be the starter or a short somewhere???
