I recently purchased this boat and it’s in decent shape for being a 2006 model. I am restoring/cleaning up this boat for my grandchildren. It appears that the boat has a rubber like coating which has held up pretty well through the years. I believe this coating was sprayed on during manufacturing, because none of the hardware/screws are covered by it. I’m just looking for some advice on what to do about some of the finished flaking off, mostly on the interior of the hull. Im hoping that someone can share with me what to do/ or not with the idea of repainting or resurfacing the interior of this boat. Hopefully someone may be able to save me some headaches before I proceed. Thanks to all.

Grandkids don't care about how it looks , and when you throw them the keys ,all bets are off . I wouldn't do a thing with it . I have a 2005 Crestliner, different model , interior is all carpeted ,so i cant comment on if that is factory or done by a previous owner . The exterior is regular paint as near as I can tell .
Unless you have OCD and feel like sanding then painting ,which again ,the grandkids won't even notice , I would run it as is .

Thank you for your thoughts. The grandkids won’t be driving for quite a few more years. This is my 5th boat over the last 40 years. I like the Crestliner for many reasons. I have a 26x26 insulated and heated detached garage. Boats do take a beating over the years. A little elbow grease n paint will definitely show my grandkids that trying to take care of whatever you own is worth a little time to show appreciation for our blessings. This is how I treat me OCD. Thanks again for your response. Smooth sailing.
