Hey all…. Looking for advise on the best fabric to use for the interior cabin cushions. Has anyone tried outdoor fabric? I’m in the process of redoing bar stools and when I was searching for fabric on line I came across “ outdoor fabric” Curious if anyone has tried using this type of material. Any thoughts/ help would be appreciated.

generally marine interior fabric meets the same anti-microbial requirements of outdoor fabric. however doesn't have the UV stability of outdoor fabric.

sunbrella is one of the many marine upholstery companies

Thanks Scott… good point on the UV. Looking at the cost of true marine fabric vs. outdoor fabric I’m inclined to save a few dollars.

remember, marine fabrics range in cost from the low end of $5 per yard to the upper end of $100 per yard. Sunbrela is a good material in the $15/yd range. upholstry is where you want to buy good fabric so you dont have to redo the job again.
