So a close friend of mine is a K9 handler with a doberman named Otto. Otto is a great dog and stays with my friend and his family every night.

This week my friends lovely wife slipped and fell on the ice ......... broke her wrist/arm and subsequently it was placed in a fiberglass cast. Not a plain cast but just a sort of yellow colored one.

Here is the funny dilemma........Arm casts look just like a Bite Sleeve used in K9 training

Even though Otto is a great dog he his highly trained...... Otto follows my friends wife around and stares at her ALL the time .......Otto is waiting for the Command to ATTACK the alleged Bite Sleeve  :D

OMG, that is funny in a questionable sort of way. Dogs are very intelligent but I would either paint the cast some other color OR make sure they don't use any words that could rhyme with attack...

Well the true cure so far is a long sleeve shirt. It is not the color but the shape and position of the cast. It appears as the the position and size of a training sleeve when she is in short sleeves. I do know that any arm in a fiberglass cast is no match for the K9's....... there are training officers who refuse to put on the real sleeve because it still hurts and bruises when the K9's attack.

pointed ears...clipped tail pointed skyward...hair on back of the neck standing up...half smile half snarl look with drool dripping ever so slightly waiting for a command...

Yep...I could picture that look
