I am looking for a fuel pump for a Johnson Super Sea Horse 33 Electric, part #380016.

While I can find only one available, I have found the following reference:

0380016 Part replaced by OMC0388685

The "new" pump doesn't look like the original so I am wondering if the 'replaced by' part would work?

Re: Interchangeable Parts?

Already replaced the hoses....just want/need a new fuel pump.

The one issue I want to ask about your listed part is it is for 9.9 - 15 hp. Do you feel it will deliver the necessary fuel for a 33 hp?

Hey, fshhuntr, did you solve your 33hp fuel pump issue? I have same dilemma with my 1969 25hp Evinrude Sportster.
I came across the following info regarding various fuel pumps that have been replaced by just 1.
My original 1969 25hp Evinrude parts book shows the part number 0382875 for the fuel pump body.
So:

Original part # 0382875 replaced by 0388685 which Replaces:
397839, 397274, 395091, 391638, 386978, 388681, 382875, 388685, 765597, 304091, 304092, 376165, 376185, 376372, 376373, 376619, 376620, 377927, 378353, 378554, 378805, 379297, 379452, 380016, 380034, 381546, 386834, 388680, 394789, 395050, 397275, 397845, 592520, 303631, 303643, 304089, 304090, 18-7350, 9-35350, 7839, 7839-1

I'm guessing the newer replacement puts out enough fuel for the smaller engines too, but not vice-versa? The the ones listed above all look the same. But the cost for a replacement pump can vary by $100 depending on whether you buy an OMC or aftermarket, from a boat parts supply or Ebay.

I just need the diaphragm. (BTW, in my mind, damn is short for diaphragm).
