my question is,are the intake gaskets the same for marine use as compared to automotive applications

no the gaskets for boats have brass cores not metal so the dont rust

t-bird,<br /><br />They SHOULD be the same. DON'T use them for marine.<br /><br />About the only difference I would think that there possibly could be would be in the EGR valve area. Marine engines do not have them.
