I have a question and trying to find answer on internet is a pain in !!!! Glad I found this site hopefully some one can answer my ? Can u get insurance to cover all adult drivers on boat not just owner ???????? Without listing all of them. Need to know because we just got this boat and I do not know what we need as far as coverage for drivers not owner...[/B]

Your BEST Bet would be to call your insurance agent. An anonymous reply from someone online is almost useless, since they have no idea what type of coverage you currently have. Your agent can typically answer these types of questions. If they can't, then they will call the insurance underwriter to obtain clarification. If they are incorrect, the insurance agent carries an 'Errors and Omissions' policy to cover mistakes that lead to lack of, or improper coverage. Your agent is the best place to start with questions like this.

Here's an anonymous reply. Boat insurance should cover the boat regardless of who is at the helm.

another anonymous internet reply. By law you do not need any insurance on a boat. Yes, might not be the best idea, but depending on where and how you boat it might be perfectly fine not to have insurance.

Definitely depends on where you boat. In the natural state liability coverage is required if you have over fifty horseys. Can't speak for other policies, but mine covers the boat, not the driver, as evidenced by my latest claim involving the admiral and a perfectly innocent gas dock.

In MN you're not required to carry any insurance on a boat, but again at least on my policy they cover the boat not the driver - so it doesn't matter who is driving it.

Boat US proably has the best coverage for boat insurance around .They sure beat my State Farm agent.
